Who are these people
Green Couch — a team of talented individuals, working together to create interiors that are sophisticated, relaxing and inspiring. Quality is not just a major tenet of our craft, but a measure of our daily pursuit. An appreciation for our clients, family, friends and the work itself propels us to reach higher, work harder, and respect each other.

Company founders and designers Tray and Jeff Schlarb started Green Couch in 2002 in response to their complete love affair for interiors, homes and property. Tray's childhood was spent on building sites throughout the Natal and Western Cape provinces of South Africa. Alongside her mother, who is a builder and sales agent of luxury homes, Tray learned confidence in her own aesthetic abilities when choosing tiles, finishes, paint colors, floor materials etc. Jeff Schlarb's formal studies concentrated on Creative Advertising, however the drive and opportunity to complete projects every day has refined his judgement and style. Jeff is fully engaged with how a home's subtleties should be viewed, experienced and interpreted.

Our organization has managed to collect 'amazing' individuals. Thomas Frongillo, also mentioned below, has always been an intense and engaged personality while clocking some 500 plus projects. TF communicates with artists, galleries, the moving team and continues to keep the ipod locked and loaded. Lisa Bakamis joined green couch in the summer of 2009 and has accelerated our ability to service interior design clients. Her ability to work with design show rooms, organize and interact with clientele makes us a better, brighter organization.

Biscuit and Ester, keep the office management in tip top shape! Biscuit being the adorable puppy like dog that brings a smile to everyones' face. Except when she barks at Jeff. :) Iron Man Moving also should be mentioned as well as The Wright Gardners, who continue to inspire us via their support, perseverance, fortitude and commitment to quality.

Lastly, the most important members of our organization... our clients. We're serious! Working alongside the most charismatic, conscious, driven, creative, healthy, intelligent and inspiring people make us say 'Thank You' on a daily basis. Upward and Onward.
Profiles:
As Co-Founder of green couch, Jeff has managed over 1300 design projects from beginning to end. His portfolio of work also includes full scale property renovations. Although his university studies at Missouri State concentrated on Creative Advertising, the drive to complete projects every day has refined his judgment and style. Jeff is fully engaged with how a home's subtleties should be viewed, experienced and interpreted. A designer, optimist, global traveler, husband, doting father, guitar player — green couch lover.
Co-founder — Tray studied in Cape Town, South Africa at the White House School of Interior Design — bringing with her a blend of styles and cultural influences. Tray is an avid adventurer with a love for travel in India, South East Asia, as well as stints through South America, continental Europe and many parts of the States side. She worked and lived in London for 5 years between travels where she fine tuned her experience working with clients from affluent backgrounds.
Thomas is secretly a rock star/renaissance man in between his management of installations. As an accomplished artist, Thomas works hard in his own studio creating a complex array of collages and drawings. He received his BFA from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, has studied contemporary art in Florence and at La Cipressaia which is a fine artist workshop in Montagnana, Italy. Thomas likes long walks on Ocean beach, fine wines and Green Couches.
Lisa joined green couch in the summer of 2009 and has accelerated our ability to service interior design clients. Her ability to work with design show rooms, organize and interact with clientele makes us a better, brighter organization. She studied Interior Design at San Francisco State and formerly worked with Kaleidoscope Design Inc. and Shelley Marie Interior Design.
History:
On a sunny day, in a city by the bay, an interior design company decided to encourage their mascot to travel. A conscious effort was made to invite experience and to educate the green couch. Life can become quite stuffy and boring gazing out and seeing dining tables and interior colors all day.

Along the way she met many friends, dodged tourists and homeless, sought out crafty new ideas, stopped traffic and danced. "She's so GREAT!", exclaimed passers by in the Marina. "May we sit with her?", people inquired. One of the company's interior designers and founders, Tray Schlarb, was quoted saying, "I believe it was good for her, to stretch her boundaries and promote acceptance of surroundings that she had not been exposed to before. In addition to that I think people really enjoyed her company."
